Explorations

THIS 30-MINUTE GUIDED TOUR LETS VISITORS DISCOVER (OR REDISCOVER) A UNIQUE ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE, WHERE ONE CAN ADMIRE THE REMAINS OF MONTREAL'S FIRST STONE CHAPEL, ALONG WITH SOME VERY EARLY TRACES LEFT HERE BY NATIVE PEOPLE.

Beneath Montreal's oldest stone chapel, archaeologists have discovered treasures buried for centuries. We call them "artifacts" or "ecofacts". On display in the museum, they have so much to tell. Our guides are waiting for you!

Come and enjoy the museum's greatest jewel while discovering the secrets of a science that unveils the secrets of the past: archaeology.

This summer, the archaeological site discovery tour is accompanied by a guide who will point out the transformations that the Chapelle Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours has undergone over the centuries. (Suggested age: 9 and over)
