From the reverent homage to Mother Earth in Okâwîmâw Askiy to the celestial voices of Verdi’s Laudi alla Vergine Maria and Hildegard von Bingen’s mystical O Virtus Sapientiae, the music embraces both earthly and spiritual wonder.
At the heart of the program, selections from Kim André Arnesen’s Magnificat resound with joy, mystery, and reverence. Earthly beauty is illustrated through Monarch Butterfly and folk-inspired melodies, culminating in the exuberance of Dancing Song and the majesty of i thank You God.
