« It blew my mind when I did the research for the Women of Faith, Remarkable Women exhibit, how much the sisters of the Notre-Dame congregation brought to our society! It’s incredible! And all of it in such humbleness and anonymity. In memory of Marguerite Bourgeoys and her daughters, I invite you to support The Beating Hearts of Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours campaign. »

The determination, courage and tenacity that kept Marguerite Bourgeoys going, were tremendous. She accomplished so much for the colony; she helped the poor, cared for the sick, accompanied the Filles du Roy, educated the children of the new colony, and built a Chapel, … To realise all of these projects, she crossed the ocean seven times to ensure financial support and to recruit partners that would support her in her numerous accomplishments that she initiated. Marguerite Bourgeoys’s courage and goodwill inspired me and I wish to invite you to take part in this campaign.
